Project Description
We are Called to Respond
By Angela Fischer, July 2012
The wisdom of creation is embodied in women. It holds the seed for the transformation of the world and shows us the way to heal the earth.
Of course this wisdom is also part of human consciousness; it is the feminine consciousness of humanity, of men and women. But only women can access it through their body. Men can find their way to this divine feminine consciousness through loving a woman – if she allows it.
Embodying this wisdom is no reason for women to feel proud or superior. On the contrary, it will make us more humble if we fully realize that we carry this tremendous gift here in the world, because it brings us down to earth and at the same time lifts us up to the realization of how much we are loved – that the whole of creation is loved without limits and beyond our imagination.
For a woman it is very precious to come into contact with what she embodies. But if we take this sacred gift for granted, or if we use it for the purpose of separation by feeding our egos, if we don’t allow it to be used for the sake of creation, then its power and purpose will be wasted and lost, if not forever, then at least for a very long time. It will be taken by the ancient currents of the earth’s ways, which by fulfilling their natural cycles within thousands of years could be purified and transformier. The earth has the energy to purify herself, to be transformed. But human consciousness is pure light which is vibrating much faster and is able to work together with the soul of the world and her divine purpose. If the world was left alone, only to be transformed during thousands of years of natural cycles , we as humanity, together with our planet, would fall into long periods of darkness.
Humans are able to love consciously and to reflect the divine love that nourishes all of creation into the world. We are the guardians of this earth and we are gifted with a consciousness that we can use for the healing and transformation of the world, as well as being given the power to decide to destroy our planet.
It feels like the earth is still waiting for us; maybe desperately waiting. The earth is calling. The earth is calling us. If we listened, if we were not too busy with „our“selves or with „our“ life or with „our“ spiritual path, we would answer. We would become still, and through the silence we would listen. And hearing this call we would run to her. We would begin to relate to her, finally, answering this call coming from the depth of her soul, echoing in our hearts. We would respond, wouldn’t we?
Like mothers always and immediately respond when their child is crying, is calling them. Never is there a question, a doubt or even a brief moment of reluctance in a woman. When there is a real calling from life she answers, she responds.
It is in our physical bodies and in the cells of our spiritual bodies. We have a sacred connection to life, and if women are healthy, this is always present in the relationship with their children. Despite all the denial of the sacred feminine, despite all our forgetfulness and the destruction of sacred connections, the natural bond is still alive in women. It has to be, because otherwise there would be no one to hold the sacred connection to life when children are growing up; no one to help the Creator raising the human family within this intimate relationship. No one would care for the children in a way, in which a protection and nourishment from the earth could flow to them and provide them with an energy that would help them to grow up. Of course, women are not the only ones who are needed, and there is an important part only men can contribute. But we are not really conscious of this feminine part, although it seems to be so obvious: The ability to respond immediately.
A woman having a baby and breast-feeding her baby experiences the response in a very physical way: as soon as her baby cries, the milk in her breasts starts flowing. Instantly. The hearing of the cry and the giving of the milk are happening at the same moment, even before the baby is taken into the arms by the mother. To some mothers the milk even starts flowing when they hear another baby crying, a child they do not personally know. It is just a response to the call of life. The call and the response to the need are one; they go beyond the dual nature of relationship. There is no gap in-between, no time for thinking and making decisions. There is only one circle which is the reflection of life’s oneness. It is the most natural.
Every woman, whether she has children or not, holds the blueprint of this circle inside of herself. She holds the natural capacity to respond because of her connection to life and to the sacred substance within life. And it is time to take up this thread again for the sake of the earth. It is time to take responsibility.
We usually don’t like to hear about responsibilty. It sounds harsh, burdened with a kind of heavy weight, demanding, somehow imposed on us, hostile to life. But listen to the word: „responsibility“ contains „responding“ – as in my mother tongue: „Verantwortung“ and „antworten“.
I have been wondering for quite a while why women do not take responsibility. There is much talk going on about the awakening of women. Some women are very enthusiastic about the new relationship to their femininste. And maybe a real gift is actually being given to women in these times. But do we realize that it is being given, that we never can achieve it on our own? And if so, do we remember that whatever is being given is not for ourselves? If we were to use these gifts for ourselves, they would get stuck. Like water that is prevented from flowing, like a river that is channelled away to back waters, this energy would become stagnant and less alive. It would become polluted by individual interests and hungry egos, and it could not serve its purpose.
To remember its real purpose we need to feel a certain responsibility. We need to wake up to the reality that we are on earth, that we are living. Maybe for a short time only do we have the opportunity to be here on earth and to have this beautiful physical body, which in itself is a miracle. It holds the secrets of creation, it holds the wisdom and the light of the sacredness of creation. To wake up to the fact that we are alive, that we are on earth, that we have a physical body, means to realize that our soul is here for a certain purpose. As soon as we are awake, we respond. And when we respond, we take responsibility. This is the nature of relationship.
Once we find access to the wisdom and power within our feminine bodies, we need to be careful not to cut it off from its deeper purpose, not to cut ourselves off from the deep responsibility of our soul. There is a Chinese proverb saying, “When women awake, mountains will move.“ It will not be us to move mountains, but we are able and have been asked to be present when it happens – present, when the wells of the mountains may give us again pure water, and when the devastating human forgetfulness may be forgiven.
