The Sense of the Sacred
and the Feminine Body
Translated transcript of a talk by Angela Fischer, Excerpt, from 2014
„What is little known, or has been almost forgotten, is that our bodies are sacred and that the body of a woman is sacred in a very particular way.
And if you realize how much and for what a long time the feminine has been violated, and how the feminine body has been treated and regarded, it becomes all too clear how vast the consequences to the spiritual and to the inner light altogether are.
We are used to see this from the perspective of women, and this is of course true: women have been hurt and violated. But widening your view and looking at it from the perspective of the light, of the sacred in the world, of the divine, we see the tremendous violation and denial of the divine, which occurs when you suppress it that much in relation to women.
Why is the body of a woman sacred in a particular way?
Because she has the possibility and the capability to bring the light of a soul into the world.
There is an expression… people say, they „make children“. I don’t like this expression, because women don’t „make“ the children, men don’t make them either, neither are they made by both of them together.
What we do is, we make ourselves available and we guide them into the world. We do not make them. And a woman is created in such a way that she can be very close to this and can contribute a substance of her body and of herself, also of the inner substance, not only the physical one, so that the light of a soul can manifest and take on a physical body.
This means, at first she receives the soul. This is the beginning.
There is a tradition that says that in the beginning the soul that is coming into the world is sitting on a woman’s shoulder, before the child matures in the womb. And the woman is created like this – she receives. Like an antenna that receives. She is able to receive a soul. Of course, sometimes a woman and a man receive a soul together, but it is the shoulder of a woman where she is landing.
And secondly the woman prepares a space for this.
She opens a space so that the soul can come closer and find the conditions to manifest within this space.
And the third aspect is that a substance in women – a sacred substance that is living in the cells of her body and in her spiritual centres – participates in the process of light taking on form. Without this substance it is not possible.
And what is so extraordinary and wonderful is that this natural light of the soul is not being distorted. It remains pure. It is not impaired; nothing interferes with it, and nothing affects it. This shows us that the sacred substance does not belong to the woman, it belongs to God. It belongs completely to God, but women carry it, and it is used through them. Whether she knows this or not, whether she is conscious of it or not, it happens.
The spiritual consciousness of humanity used to be completely familiar with this ancient knowledge, but over time it has been totally buried. It is not here anymore. Where do you hear of it, where do we live with it? Where does it play a role when women are giving birth, and in a wider context, for women in general, no matter if they give birth to children or not?
The beauty of it is that it is a spiritual capacity at its core, also when a woman does not do spiritual practices. It is a spiritual quality because it carries the power and the potential to guide a light taking on form, according to its nature and without distorting or deforming it.
Take a newborn child into your arms. They are pure. They are absolutely pure.
This is what I mean by saying that there is a particular form of sacredness in a woman’s body.
The next question of course would be not only how people have related to the sacred within women, but also how women themselves have related to the sacred within themselves. How far did we move away from honouring this in ourselves, from being in contact with it and living it consciously?
The reason why I mention this again, why I go into detail is, because only if something is within us, are we able to be aware of it in everything.
The sacred in women and in the feminine body enables her in a very specific way to also have an awareness of the sacred within the earth, within creation.
It has nothing to do with having children or not, having been pregnant or not. It is rather:
‘I am a woman and I have a female body. I have a sacred body full of soul, and through this feminine, soulful and sacred body I do have a particular access to the sacred in creation.’
What are the energies we are not using yet, what are the possibilities we have as women to work with the sacred in the earth?
The question is: If we have been given these gifts from God to be able to receive a soul, to develop such a magnetism to the light of a soul, to give it space and to offer the sacred substance, so that the light can take on form, according to its nature, in a certain purity, are we then not able to do this also with the earth, on another level?
Couldn’t we, as a first step, evolve the receptivity which enables us to get in contact with her soul? Similar to the soul of a human child touching down on a woman’s shoulder, could we not evolve „antennas“ to get in contact with the soul, the soul-like quality in the earth?
And I think that it is incredibly important for those who have access to this somewhere, for those who search for it and feel attracted to it, to hold this knowledge and this connection, and to look towards the light, towards the light that is present in the earth.“
